Because we were able to save $3,298.47 on this trip through booking our flights for 6 people and our hotel with credit card points and miles, we were able to splurge on an experience we would not have otherwise done. My friend, who runs https://thelovelydish.com/ , encouraged me to make reservations to this restaurant so that my girls could enjoy the magic the restaurant has to offer. Little did she know she was actually advocating for the little girl in me who always dreamed of having these types of Disney experiences.
Because we travel so much, my adult mindset is always set on saving money as much as I can. I realized that sometimes I need to step back and let my inner child make some decisions. Disney is the perfect place to let your inner child live and take advantage of the opportunities presented. Let me tell you, there was nothing better than making my inner child happy alongside my own children. There was something very special about seeing my kids eyes enjoying the Disney magic, as I myself also stared around feeling the exact same childish wonder. If you can make space in your budget, I recommend dining atop the mountain at the Beauty and the Beast Castle.
Making A Reservation
Disney opens its dining reservation schedule for all parks 2 months in advance. For highly desired restaurants be sure you log in to your Disney park app as quickly as you can within those 2 months from the date that you will be there. Each Disney park has its own app, so make sure to have the correct app downloaded ahead of time.
Be Our Guest was fortunately still open for reservations about a week ahead of our trip to Disney World. Because I was making a last minute reservation I could not get a good dinner time. I had to settle for an 8:30 dinner reservation. You do not need to pay anything ahead of time. Simply give them number of people, their names, and ages, and you are set. We usually eat dinner at home around 6 pm so I was a bit bummed about the 8:30 slot, but it actually ended up being perfect timing.
The day of, about 20 mins before your reservation time, you have to check in through the mobile app. You have to be close to the restaurant in order to be able to check in. Do not plan to be in line for a far away ride, it wont let you check in and you’ll miss your reservation. If you miss your reservation you have to pay a flat fee of $50.
We checked in and around 8:30 we went to the door of the restaurant. The hostess said they were running a bit behind and hat I would receive a notification on my phone when our table was ready. While we waited we got a great view of the fireworks. They set off fireworks from the Cinderella castle and from the Beauty and the Beast Castle. We were waiting for our reservations smack in the middle between both castles, so we were surrounded by fireworks while we waited. That 8:30 reservation time ended up being the perfect time slot.
When the fireworks were over, we received the notification that our table was ready and our magical visit began.
The Decor
The decor of the restaurant took you straight into the movie. There were 3 dining rooms. There’s the forbidden west wing, the ballroom, and the rose gallery. We were not given a choice of seating and were seated in the rose gallery. You are free to roam around and see all three sitting areas though. The beast comes out in costume to greet guests on a timed schedule to ensure all guests are able to see the Beast. While we dined, he came around twice.

The Food
I will say a visit to this place is pricey. Per “adult” it will cost $70. I say “adult” because anyone 10 years or older will have to pay the adult price, even if they choose to order off the kids menu. My 15 and 12 year old were given that choice. They chose the adult menu. Children ages 3-9 pay $41. Every person gets a 3 course meal of an appetizer of their choice, an entrée, and dessert.
After you order and while you wait for your food you are brought a warm baguette and olive oil butter for dipping.

For the kids appetizer my twins chose the fruit and cheese platter.
The entrees will also be posted in order of most favorite to least favorite.
My kids chose the Mac and Cheese, green beans, and fries off of the kids menu. I did sample their mac and cheese and it was good. Had I not been stuffed from everything else, I would have finished what they did not.
There wasn’t a choice for dessert for either the adults or the kids. The menu advertised a choice, but when we got there we were told there was none and that the dessert trio would be given to both the adults and children off their respective menus. Again, my teenagers were given the choice of a adult dessert or the kid’s dessert. I was not disappointed that we were not given a choice because what was given was what we were going to choose all along.
The adult dessert was very sweet all around. I was not a fan of the raspberry buttercream in between of the macaron cookies, so I scraped that off and put the grey stuff in between the macaron to make it better. The chocolate crust in which the grey stuff was served was hard and not very tasty, which is why I scooped out the grey stuff and put it on the macaron. The chocolate ball was good but VERY sweet.
The kids got a different version of the dessert trio in which they got to paint their white chocolate Chip teacup. My girls were stuffed by the dessert course and ate very little of it. But they did have lots of fun painting their cup and tasting the grey stuff.
Points Earned at the Restaurant
The meal at the end of everything with drinks, tax, and gratuity was $463 with some change for our family of 6. A hefty price, I know. But this was an memory both I and my daughters can look back on in the future and treasure. I don’t mention my husband because he is not an emotional reminiscer lol. But he was happy while we there, until the bill came and he had to pay :)
My husband used his Chase Freedom Flex card to pay because this quarter it was offering 5x the points per dollar spent on dining. On this meal alone we earned 2,315 Chase Ultimate Reward points to use toward our future travel.
